Cinematography and videography

Jon O’Brien is a cinematographer, filmmaker, and sound recordist, based at Buderim, Queensland.

He was professionally trained at SAE film school.

He is available as a DoP, camera operator, 2nd AC, or videographer. Jon films on 16mm, Super 16, 35mm, and digital.

He aims for excellent picture and sound at all times. He has a background in visual arts and music.

Jon’s next Super 16 short film is currently in pre-production. His new film is called String and is set in the 1930s.

It’s about a musician doing it tough, who is to play in a music competition but breaks a string, and what happens next.
